Kecelakaan akan menyebabkan kerugian dan mengurangi keuntungan perusahaan, tetapi masih banyak yang belum mau melakukan tindakan penanggulangan dengan baik dan serius. Padahal kecelakaan sering terjadi ditempat kerja, bahkan terkadang kecelakaan yang sama terulang kembali untuk yang kesekian kalinya, tanpa ada upaya penanggulangan sedikitpun. Salah satu upaya mengurangi kerugian akibat kecelakaan adalah dengan mengadakan analisa setiap kecelakaan yang terjadi dan melakukan tindakan perbaikan agar kecelakaan serupa tidak akan pernah terjadi kembali. Hasil analisa kecelakaan yang baik dan tepat serta diterapkan upaya tindak pencegahannya akan bisa meningkatkan kesadaran keselamatan bagi semua karyawan dan kerugian akibat kecelakaanpun akan berkurang.
