Course Overview
In this course you will focus on managing the typical constrains of many project such as; limit on time, human resources, materials, budget and specifications. Learn to master techniques such as estimating, forecasting, budgeting, monitoring, controlling, and analyzing and reporting costs and interpreting the meaning of earn value data. Learn a sound, logical framework for scheduling and controlling project activities and discover ways to work within the identified constraints without curtailing creativity and innovation.

An accurate and reliable estimate is the basis of every project and contract award. it gives control for all internal and external stakeholders. Small or large everything is related to investment costs and the costs throughout the project life cycle. Nevertheless a lot or projects overrun their budgets.
This workshop is specially intended for (technical) engineers/ managers who are involved in small, middle and large size projects and for those who are involved with feasibility studies and people who have m determine their own budgets. It will also elaborate typical cost engineering estimating methods, but will also put this in relation to accuracy of the estimate and project definition. This workshop also stipulates how after budget approval the cost can be controlled through by effective cost control.

In this regard, it is important to distinguish between a good decision and a lucky outcome. A good decision is one that is made based on a thorough understanding of the problem and careful though regarding the importance issues. Outcomes, on the other hand, may be unlucky, regardless of decision quality. Therefore, decision analysis allows making effective decisions more consistently.

Course Overview:
This course is prepared in 2 phases where first phase will explain regarding project financial understanding when valuing oil and gas assets. Executing a petroleum related project such as field development, evaluate various investment opportunities by determining economic indicators and sensitivity analysis. Understanding techniques for predicting profit, production, costs, and cash flow for optimum results. Familiar with economic indicators, risk and uncertainty, Gain knowledge on different economic structures such as tax regimes and production sharing contracts.
This 1st phase course is also designed to give a better understanding of Reserves and Resource Definitions and Guidelines for Classifications. Various aspects of the evaluation of hydrocarbon reserves as well as learn how to use reserves reports and studies.
2nd phase of course will explain regarding to manage a complex and risk-laden project successfully you may need a comprehensive and effective management tool. This course will give you the latest concepts, methods and practices used by progressive companies worldwide to manage projects to achieve technical and financial success.

The content of this course phase is based on a structured gate approach to develop a business case, project scope definition and execution planning for successfully result in developing complex projects. The course participants will use Front End Loading (FEL) methods to apply the project management techniques discussed in the course.

The course of whole project from beginning to end will take time for 5 days as follow: 2.5 (two and half) days for Project Economic and 2.5 (two and half) days for Project Management.

THE COURSE INTRODUCTION
Applied Earned Value Management emphasizes the processes related to the Performance Management Baseline (PMB), the Integrated Baseline Review (IBR), the American National Standards Institute/Electronic Industries Alliance Standard 748 (ANSI/ EIA-748) and the Project Management Institute (PMI) for Practice Standard for Earned Value Management (EVM) systems. You’ll gain hands-on knowledge of the EVM process and EVM metrics, including Estimates at Completion (EAC), as well as an overview of the EVM process from project development to execution.

You’ll learn to use tools for managing data associated with EVM as they apply to project management in the cost & schedule contract environment. You’ll also learn EVM skills through hands-on exercises and a multi-part case study that takes you from EVM project baseline formation at the beginning of the project through the challenges of ongoing assessments and reassessments of cost, schedule and performance to the project changes. You’ll end the course with an understanding of project surveillance.

This course is designed for those who will be required to calculate and interpret the EVM data generated in capital projects. The course has been designed for project members of integrated EPC project teams and for other personnel dealing with EVM on project commitment. The use of projects and project management in the oil and gas industry is becoming more and more important for all kinds of organizations. DESKRIPSI

Dugaan adanya potensi hidrokarbon pada suatu area didapat dari penelitian geologi dan geofisika (seismic, magnetic dan gravitasi). Data yang diperlukan untuk membuktikan ada atau tidaknya potensi hidrokarbon pada suatu area, yaitu data permukaan (peta geologi dan stratigrafi terukur) dan data di bawah permukaan (seismic, logging, coring dan cutting). Dari data permukaan seismic kemudian dilakukan untuk mendapatkan data di bawah permukaan berupa litologi batuan. Jika litologi batuan mengindikasikan adanya suatu reservoir, maka untuk membuktikan ada tidaknya hidrokarbon dilakukan pemboran lubang sumur serta serangkaian pengukuran di dalam sumur (logging) dan evaluasi data hasil rekaman untuk memastikan ada tidaknya kandungan hidrokarbon di bawah tanah. Logging yaitu suatu kegiatan / proses perekaman sifat – sifat fisik batuan reservoir dengan menggunakan wireline log.

Salah satu faktor untuk menentukan kualitas sumur adalah dengan melakukan penilaian formasi batuan (evaluasi formasi). Penilaian formasi adalah suatu proses analisis ciri dan sifat batuan di bawah tanah dengan menggunakan hasi pengukuran lubang sumur (logging). Penilaian formasi dapat dilakukan dengan interpretasi pintas atau dengan menggunakan software. Interpretasi pintas adalah membuat suatu evaluasi log pada zona bersih (clean formation) dengan cepat di lapangan tanpa menggunakan koreksi dampak lingkungan lubang bor.

TUJUAN
