Tegangan Menengah (Medium Voltage= MV), tegangan menengah/MV berkisar 1000 Volt (1 KV) – 36.000 Volt (36 KV). Jenis kabel yang digunakan juga harus mampu digunakan pada tegangan 1 KV – 36 KV.

Trafo distribusi atau trafo layanan adalah trafo yang menyediakan transformasi tegangan akhir dalam sistem distribusi tenaga listrik, mengundurkan tegangan yang digunakan dalam jalur distribusi ke tingkat yang digunakan oleh pelanggan.
